Ron Paul, get out of the Republican Party.
Modern Conservative ^ | Christopher Cook

Leave. Just go.

Mr. Paul, you are NOT a Republican. You may have views that intersect with some aspects of the Republican platform. That does NOT make you a Republican.

The Republican Party is a big tent movement. We don't apply nearly the same strictness when it comes to tests of ideological purity as the Democrats do, but we still have some standards. And you, sir, do not even come close to meeting them.

People who blame America for the acts of war made against it are not Republicans.

People who think that we blew up our own buildings on 9/11...or who hint that we might have...or who attract the support of people with such beliefs...are not Republicans.

People who may be receiving secret funding from George Soros...and who certainly receive energy and succor from radical leftists...are not Republicans.

People who have become the darling of, and the recipient of support from, America's neo-Nazis and white supremacists---and who refuse to openly repudiate that support---are not Republicans.

And people who publish racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-American newsletters...are not Republicans.

Oh, and your protestations of innocence regarding this racist, anti-Semitic, anti-American newsletter to which you attached your name are absurd. As Jonah Goldberg said yesterday on the Michael Medved show, if...

As much as I disagree with the Rudy McRomnabee’s of the GOP they are far better men than Ron Paul is.

Abortion and the 2nd Amendment must not be big issues for you.

I just had to paste Junta's comment again to believe it.

Literally Paul and his neo-confederates number in the thousands, what do you have to lose by denouncing them? Don’t hide.

Jeeze, if we need neo-confderates, we are in more trouble than I thought. SJackson, do you still have that comment from Stormfront's site about how to infiltrate sites like this?

Ron Paul’s 1987 essay on legalizing drugs

Now there's a real honest to goodness Republican Party Platform issue he supports - - - NOT

My perception is that Ron Paul is being run out of the Republican Party precisely because of his belief in limited government

I agree 100%.

First, no one is running Ron Paul out of the Republican Party. This thread is about an article written by one individual. The fact that others, even on this forum, agree is not confirmation of a fact.

Second, the point of this thread has nothing to do with limited government. Nothing! To imply such is nothing more than misdirection. If, and that's a big if, Ron Paul were truly excluded from the Republican Party it wouldn't be for his belief in small government; it would be for questionable social beliefs that have no place in Republican thought. And that's what this thread refers to.

Misdirections like this serve only to anger Republicans. If that's what you want, then we know your intentions.

To be fair, how do we know he wrote that? The campaign said yesterday that some ‘ghost writer’ was publishing things in Paul’s name without his knowledge, so how do we know he actually wrote this? This could just be some nutty anarchist using Paul’s name.

First you say RP’s “racism and anti-semetism” are threats to the republic now you are saying no big deal. I honestly don’t get where you come from with these outbursts. You are like O’Reilly he brings Al Sharpton on his show, agrees with him that America is a racist nation, and then moves on. If its a big deal then you must want them front and center of the debate. Literally Paul and his neo-confederates number in the thousands, what do you have to lose by denouncing them? Don’t hide.

I'm not hiding, I've been very direct in my posts about Paul.

First you say RP’s “racism and anti-semetism” are threats to the republic

BS junta, I've never said any such thing.

You're a liar junta, a rather unfortunate trait exhibited by many Paul supporters and imo by the candidate himself.

I have stated for about 6 months that his racism, I haven't accused him of antisemitism though he is a conspiracy nut imo, could harm the GOP. We've been tagged with the charge of racism for years, some of it through associations with the same folk Paul associates with. As it turns out, the media and the dems have recognized Paul as a marginal candidate who can't be hung on Republicans. That's good, he can continue on to 5th after 5th, the sleaze looks like it will stick to him and that's all.

BTW, having denounced Pauls supporters, from neonazis to secessionists to truthers to racists hundreds of times, why would you think I'm afraid to denounce them now.

They're the dark side or the right, no different than their moveon and KOS allies.

And as I stated earlier, no question in my mind if the question is posed to the legitimate candidates, they'll condemn Paul's racist newsletters and supporters.

WOW, I’m amazed that so many people absolutely LOVE big government socialism and social engineering programs.

Post after post talks about the virtues of Nanny Statists and global corporation servants. The only conclusion I can come to is that even on FR people just can’t wean themselves off of Uncle Sam’s big ole nipples.

I’ll say it again, what good will winning the war on terror do if we live in a socialist country that is hostile to domestic business interests and the GOD given rights our constitution was written to protect?

I guess we’ll find out in a few short years.

And before I’m crucified please note that I’ve given support to Thompson and Paul the only candidates who might actually attempt to shrink the size and scope of the Fed. govt.

Gee, shold I post it, my being afraid to denounce these guys? Talk about alternate realities.

You're thinking about the Will Williams statement, I'll dig it up. Here's a thread from a few years ago with almost 1,000 posts.

It should be a campaign issue then, and not just little old you on the internet. Have the candidates address this if RP and his followers are guilty as charged.

I’m glad you provided the more direct links. Going back to the one on another thread was tedious. I’ve read some of the articles (not all by any means); especially the one over his signature which also points to other articles noted the The New Republic.

It’s curious that so much effort is expended in explaining Ron’ Paul’s character, yet not providing documented evidence in support. The New Republic has provided documented evidence. The PaulBots rant about the issue yet provide no positive contrary evidence. Absence of such evidence to the contrary is becoming a case in favor of the article IMO. Let the PaulBots beware.

The conclusions you Paulistas draw are laughable, but let me say this: If I had to pick between big government and racist hate groups, I’d have to take the big government. It’s a good thing we don’t have to make that choice. I can support good politicians and reject Ron Paul and other Sorosites both at one and same time.

TNR then should demand the GOP candidates address this. You think a democrat leaning publication would leap for a chance to expose the GOP as a bastion of anti-semetism and racism. By reading these posts it seems all the candidates should leap onto these issues so let them. Stop the excuses and demand that all the “real” candidates denounce RP and his anti-semetism and racism. Don’t post links to sites that no one reads, instead send out requests to the campaigns to address these most important issues.

If they have similar questionable histories, yes, they should jump on it. If they don’t, they shouldn’t.

Run Paul could be president of the moonbat party and Kucinich could be vice president.

If you're going to crack gay jokes, make sure someone else already hasn't used the same joke.

I linked it to the google cache of the Ron Paul meetup site. Meetup the parent threw him out. The Paul supporter who posted this was concerned about the development, as you know there were howls from Paul supporters when meetup pulled Will's posting privledges

On Oct. 4 Will Williams, a former leader of the National Alliance, a neo-Nazi group, posted on the neo-Nazi Vanguard News Network that white supremacy supporters should support Paul for president.

"Till then I recommend folks get involved in the Ron Paul 'revolution' and work with political activists in your communities who are attracted to his anti-globalist message ," Williams wrote. " Be disciplined. Blend in; find common ground with them and artfully radicalize those who are receptive and avoid those who are not. ... Most of you would be surprised at how many good people can be exposed to a, let's say, 'pro-majority' message among the remarkable groundswell of fed-up, mostly white Ron Paul supporters -- many, early on, from the 9/11 truth movement. T hey are finding their backbones as they are exposed to more and more hidden truths, especially about the hidden hand of Jewry behind every foul venture."

It's such a lame argument by them; that because we don't support Ron Paul we're not true conservatives. It's really juvenile and, frankly, laughable.

Note to you PaulBots: Get another spin. It's not working. Neither is the one about Paul's inability to control what hate mongers say in his support. It's not working. It even increases the distrust we feel toward him.
