True. But none of the Democrat candidates are any better on border security than McCain and they are worse on all other aspects of national security and terrorism. I think the best way to make our nation secure is to bring the war to the enemy in their own country and kill the terrorists there and secure our borders to make it more difficult to come into our country and attack us as revenge.

McCain's way, which is basically Bush's way, has worked for the last 6 years. How long do you think the terrorists would refrain from attacking President Obama's America?
Don't get me wrong. I think closing the borders is an important part of national security. However, I don't think we can ever secure the borders to the extent that we could prevent a determined terrorist from crossing the border illegally. A smart terrorist would cross via Canada rather than Mexico anyway...and we are not going to build a fence along the northern border.
