McVain, because at least he is strong on national defense, which none of the dems are for. But I am prepared to get screwed.

Yes I’ll support John McCain, I’m not all that happy with any of our candidates, but I’d support John McCain. He has the best chance of winning against Hillary or Obama. When he was a prisoner at the Hanoi Hilton they may have beat the living crap out of him, but they didn’t take away his ba—s. The only candidate I would not support is Rudy Guiliani.

I said I never would. . .but that was 'then'. . .
Now. . .for the sake of our Military - they deserves better than the insult a Dem would bring to their table - so, I would vote for McCain.
Commander Hillary - or any Dem - a massive insult to our Military - to their morale; to their goals - cannot do it.

I will vote for the candidate of my choice. That won’t be McCain, no matter how many liberals order me to vote for him. I’m disappointed to see many FReepers agreeing to vote for whoever the liberals tell them to vote for, whether it’s McCain or some other liberal. Shame.

Bottom line.
If the question “If McCain wins the nomination, will you support him?” has to be asked in FR then he probably is NOT the one who will unquestionably excite the republican base enough to beat the democrats.

I don’t care what party he’s in.

I would never vote for McCain/Huckabee/Rudy. If they win, it means we have one party - a party that promotes amnesty and open borders. Just think what perks for illegal aliens and amnesty means - rewarding breaking the law, promoting hordes to overrun this country, turning this country into a 3rd World country, sticking it to the law-abiding taxpayers, draining our dwindling non-renewable resources, etc.
I will vote 3rd party before I vote for anyone who supports the surrender of this country. McCain/Huckabee/Rudy have gone too far.

I haven’t gone down thread yet, but I already see that:
Many folks are prepared to be TOTAL LOSERS by not supporting the pubbie candidate, rather than being a PARTIAL LOSER by holding their nose and voting against a witch or an empty suit.
Total losers are total losers!

Mike Huckabee.
But McCain over the Democrats in a second.

If I did vote for McCain I’d would be voting for a 3rd Party candidate!
I don’t consider McCain a true Republican based on his Record.

Of course, there is no logical alternative, at this time. To prevent the Party of Thieves, the Party of Treason, the Party of Satan from gaining the WH,
I will vote for the chosen standard-bearer of the party.
Though I must confess, I will hold my nose.....and work very hard to keep down my dinner.

If McCain wins the nomination, then the pubbies become the third party. But yeah, it would be a hold my nose and vote for him - and work like heck to ensure a conservative Congress to keep him in check.
