I live in IL and have seen/heard enough of Obama to know he will never settle for VP. He’s young, there is absolutely no reason for him to take the #2 position when he can be a superstar in the Senate and unstoppable the next time around.

John Edwards is the next Veep. Once a clear leader is established in February he will endorse that candidate and graciously pull out.
Too much bad blood between Hillary and Obama.
