“Whoa - FoxNews now showing Hillary only up by 2% now (3,500 votes). Yet Juan Williams is telling us that if Hillary wins this SHE is the front runner. Huh? I shudder to think if she pulls this out she may get that huge Union vote in Nevada.”
She never stopped being the front-runner. Despite what the media were harping on, her lead in the national polls remained. She lost Iowa, and might (and may) have lost New Hampshire, but that doesn’t change the fact that those are only a handful of delegates and many much bigger states remain.
I realize that but Obama had momentum and those numbers would have changed if he won tonight as NH did for him after he won Iowa.
(Whew - Go, Hillary!)
I felt very comfortable when I figured the rats were destined to nominate the repugnant, thoroughly unelectable Hillary. Her nomination would lead not only to a colossal electoral landslide for the Republican candidate (ANY Republican candidate) but would probably improve the GOPs chance to take back the House with the down ticket ripple effect.
But Obama? The Obama phenomenon is too new to get a handle on, especially since right now its only the rats who are paying him much attention. I do sense the possibility, though, that with ten months of vigorous face time on TV the silly Obama fad might fade away like the hoola hoop, Trivial Pursuit, and Tickle My Elmo. I just hope it happens before election day 2008
