There were never any viable conservative candidates in the running for the nomination, and the ones who are the most conservative are THE MOST unpopular. If you don't think the Republican party has left conservatives, then perhaps that's because you are not a conservative.

Perhaps you are full of crap.

There is absolutely no logic whatsoever to your statement.

You concede that there are Republican candidates in the race who are conservative.

So how the hell did the Party leave conservatives?

Maybe voters have left conservatism, but that has nothing to do with the party.

Were you listening to Rush Monday when he was talking to a Huckabee caller who asked Rush what would happen if evangelicals left the GOP? Rush repeated several times...”You don’t want me to answer that...”. He never did answer it.

I think I know what he thought the caller wouldn’t want to hear. With the Dems moving so far left, there are millions of centrist and independent voters who would move to the GOP...except for the religious right. I think that’s what he was getting at.

I think there might be something to it. I would happily support a Rudy or Mitt, knowing they would peel independents away from the Dems. I think it may be the only hope the GOP has in future elections.
