Well, technically, she could - but it would be damn hard for a guy who lost his law license, a known perjurer, who was Impeached by the House for perjury....would be confirmed by the Senate.
Really hard.
The difference between staunch Christians like GWB and Huckabee is that GWB is a proud American leader first who happens to be a firm Christian and is very proud of that fact.
Huckabee is a man who is a Christian promoter first, and uses his faith to promote and show off his politics.
To me, there is a big difference. And I'm about as faithful a practicing Christian as you can get. Born and bred Baptist, church three times a week, tithe regularly, etc etc.
Huckabee scares the pants off a large portion of the voting population, including me, especially Republican Jews and secular conservatives who see him as crossing the line in regards to mixing church and state.
Actually, I could stomach a Huckabee presidency, but I am absolutely certain that a large portion of voters are absolutely terrified of his dominating religiosity.
If Huckabee wins the nomination, the party will be smeared into oblivion in November '08.
New Hampshire and Wyoming have about the same population, Thompson did VERY well in Wyoming, McCain was awful.
Lets hope so. Where are all the voters from the crowded voting booths... All the precincts seem to have low counts.
Percent in 46.84% 45.18%
Clinton 49,719 45,786
Edwards 21,178 19,644
Obama 45,383 42,762
Clinton 39.53% 39.53%
Edwards 16.84% 16.84%
Obama 36.08% 36.08%
Delta votes
Clinton 3,933 6,823
Edwards 1,534 3,012
Obama 2,621 6,488
Delta percent
Clinton 0.00% 0.45%
Edwards 0.00% 0.16%
Obama 0.00% -0.31%
If your theory is correct, then the total Republican votes cast would be much higher, i.e. subtract Independents from Democrat column and add them to Republican column.
PoC
“I am picturing carloads of aging hippie women in birkenstocks crossing the state border from all directions and voting for hill. LOL”
I’d settle for a picture of a couple of them voting.
Hillary back in front by 3.5
Romney to within 5 and change.
I've been thinking the same thing ... great minds ...
Haven’t seen this one yet: when Edwards drops out after the next primary, where does his 15-20% go? I don’t see how Obama gets the nomination without a substantial portion of that vote.
John McCain 36,685 37%
Mitt Romney 31,085 31%
Mike Huckabee 11,506 12%
Rudy Giuliani 8,639 9%
Ron Paul 7,811 8%
Fred Thompson 1,192 1%
Duncan Hunter 529 1%
47% of precincts reporting
You have to turn the light on....geez
So despite what your freinds are telling you, there is no data at all to support the claim that McCain can win a general election

McCain is not my first or second choice. But he consistently polls better against Dems than the other Republican candidates.
Good points. Popcorn time....
My conjecture is that 66% of the independents told the pollsters they would vote for B.Hussain.Obama but when mrs.clinton put the word out she was expecting to get skunked 66% of the independents voted for McCain instead.
He wouldn’t have to recuse himself...Taft was Chief Justice after being President...it’s not a problem...
I guess Mrs. Clinton is actually the Wicked Witch of the WEST, which means we’ll have to wait to the end of the movie to see Dorothy throw the water.
Pick your poison:
1. McCain
2. Huckabee
3. Rudy
Time for YOU to wake up! Romney has 2 seconds, and McCain and Huck will not keep going, splitting the votes of moderates. Right or wrong, Romney is getting the conservative vote. RUdy is nonexistent in the eyes of the nation. It's going to be Mitt as our nominee
This lady on Fox sounds like Roseanne Barr
The SCOTUS is a political appointment and Bill Clinton is politically very popular. None of those things you mentioned would matter.
You know, that's an excellent point. And the percentage of people that don't have landlines is steadily increasing, as you say.
