Fred has a 100% pro-life voting record. The NRTL interviewed all candidates in depth and settled on Fred Thompson, not Huckabee.
The Constitutional Amendment issue is a red herring and a propaganda tool. The President has no power to make a Constitutional amendment happen. He can encourage, but see GWB-- nothing has happened in seven years. Since Roe was voted upon, the plan of activists has been to go to each state once it is overturned. So it is a no brainer to start at the state level. Fred will appoint strong conservative justices to overturn Roe, QED.
I look at Huckabee and see a slick Arkansas politician and preacher. I wouldn't think of going to a church the Huckabee pastored (and I am a former Baptist). I can't support his nanny-state ideas and actions. EXPLICITLY: his tax and spending, his call to regulate fatty food and smoking, his offering scholarships to illegals, his calling 'racists' those opposed to his policies for illegals, his many ethics problems including taking furniture from the governor's mansion (and having to return it), his taking of money for speeches during this campaign, his convenient flip-flops on Cuba and other foreign policy issues.
Moreover, Huckabee's national security experience--> zero. He wants to close Guantanamo and "talk" to our Radical Islamic enemies. Huckabee also name-called President Bush for having a 'bunker mentality'. He didn't know where Pakistan is in the map in relation to Afghanistan.
In general, it seems anyone who doesn't agree with Huckabee is judged. Stop and watch, and you will discern in his manner and words exceeding self-righteousness.
Politically, Huckabee is a pro-life liberal. I would consider flip-flop Romney over him.
My prayer is that light will be shined on Huckabee's record and character so that his deficiencies will be revealed to all.
Add to that at the core: we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So in this context, my comments are about another sinner who offered himself up for public scrutiny.
