I agree, a lot of criticism towards Fred is based on how he looks and campaigns. Also, a lot of venom directed towards McCain and his age. However, that stuff isn’t necessarily off the table either. Looked what happened to Nixon in ‘60.
Sadly a significant portion of the people do partially base a vote on looks/appearance.
The government has no business forcing citizens to purchase health care insurance.
But you must remember, that although Ronald Reagan was old, he has a good attitude and had lots of energy. Old age isn’t an excuse when you are running to be President of the United States. Either a person is up to it and has the right attitude or they don’t. There is no sense in arguing “what if;”
