Focus group with a predetermined response.

Similiar to polls with a predetermined outcome before a single person is polled.

That you put more stock in them than how the person actually stated his position in the debate says a lot about you.

That might be part of it. If they all liked Thompson I wouldn’t complain, would I?

But let’s think about this. Put aside for a moment who the focus group liked. Why have a focus group immediately after a debate? There’s no reason other than they want to influence the outcome.

All I can do is hope enough people are independent minded and will make up their own minds. (I don’t think it’s a stretch.)
