I like Huckabee. I am really glad he won and won decisively.

When everyone who likes Mike H. gets through with the love fest and wipes their misty eyes, they might take off the rose colored glasses and take a hard look at the facts.

Given that Huckabee has done great with little money and a lot of free help from the media and pastors 1 He is the underdog and everyone loves to see an underdog stick it to the big boys. Those things said, consider this about Huckabee:

1.Very bad take on illegals. Believes we should do the "Christian" thing and pay for their childrens' educ., give them the best of all our welfare programs.(He seems to have flipflopped and now talks a tough stance, but past actions speak louder than present words.)

2.As President, he is bound to follow the Constitution and our laws, not open the floodgates to all the poor and downtrodden who can illegally make it here.

3. He has stated recently that he greatly admires Obama; he likes many of the things Obama says--shades of Trent Lott and going along to get along.

4. Just read an article by his foreign advisor in the Tapai paper that sovereign states must give up some sovereign rights to get along in the international community-i.e., like World Court decisions on trade, and extending and enlarging Kyoto because of global warming.

The last comment is that the MSM love Huckabee because he would be so easily torn down in the general election by proclaiming he would lead a theocracy.

Let me say that I am an evangelical Christian with a huge dollop of pragmatism. I want a President who believes in our sovereign country; believes in a strict interpretation of the Constitution, whose character and life is informed by faith, but who knows the difference in leading a nation and leading a congregation.

There are only 2 conservatives in this race--Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.
