Evidently, Huckabee's kinda guy. Birds of a feather and all that....
Huh?
Condensation? or condesention?
Does is matter what Huckabee says? Can you believe him? In his way Romney is almost as bad and who knows what Rudy would do?
Whatsisname played saxophone, and as you must know, saxophone is really underappreciated instrument in rock'n'roll, despite it being a founding instrument of the genre (Luis Jordan, Bill Haley, Duane Eddy, Brenda Lee), while guitar players are a dime a dozen.
The RATs and the MSM are hoping we all start thinking that.
“I love the idea of the Fair-Tax”
A liberal like Huckabe will always say any amount that he can spend is a fair amount. The Lord told him so.
As a Baptist I will not vote for a Baptist “minister”.
No criticism of Huckabee? Is this the Fred Thompson thread?
Don't worry about Huckabee's being the Pubs' nominee. He'll fall flat in NH, maybe revive in SC, then fade. And I can't see Fred's gaining traction anywhere outside the Southern states. Looks to me now as if McQueeg or Julie-Annie will be the nominee.
(Ugh!)
Conclusion: I think we'll eventually see Huck & Fred competing against one another for the VP's slot, whether it be under McQ or Rudy.
It says a lot more about the state of the conservative electorate than it does Fred.
The MSM and the DNC would love nothing more than to see Huck get the nod.
That alone should tell you something.
Can't support him.
I don't support him - but can't I at least log in?
I don’t look to presidents for “excitement.”
Sheesh.
The only people excited about what the geniuses in Iowa did tonight are the socialists at the DNC and our Islamic enemy.
Huckabee won't make it past the end of February, Iowans be damned.
Given that Huckabee has done great with little money and a lot of free help from the media and pastors 1 He is the underdog and everyone loves to see an underdog stick it to the big boys. Those things said, consider this about Huckabee:
1.Very bad take on illegals. Believes we should do the "Christian" thing and pay for their childrens' educ., give them the best of all our welfare programs.(He seems to have flipflopped and now talks a tough stance, but past actions speak louder than present words.)
2.As President, he is bound to follow the Constitution and our laws, not open the floodgates to all the poor and downtrodden who can illegally make it here.
3. He has stated recently that he greatly admires Obama; he likes many of the things Obama says--shades of Trent Lott and going along to get along.
4. Just read an article by his foreign advisor in the Tapai paper that sovereign states must give up some sovereign rights to get along in the international community-i.e., like World Court decisions on trade, and extending and enlarging Kyoto because of global warming.
The last comment is that the MSM love Huckabee because he would be so easily torn down in the general election by proclaiming he would lead a theocracy.
Let me say that I am an evangelical Christian with a huge dollop of pragmatism. I want a President who believes in our sovereign country; believes in a strict interpretation of the Constitution, whose character and life is informed by faith, but who knows the difference in leading a nation and leading a congregation.
There are only 2 conservatives in this race--Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.
vaudine
1. Has a personal relationship with Christ
Then why not vote for the Pope?
I’m not yet on board anyone’s team, but for the sake of saying something favorable to the Huckabee supporters, his embrace of the Fair Tax is mighty appealing and surely alluring!
Congrats to the huckster for getting 1/3 of the votes in this non-binding exercise of democracy.
He’s not my choice in the primaries, but if he is the nominee, he’ll have my vote in the general election.
