I was recuperating from surgery during the recount. Watched TV day and night until the election was called for W.
We had a power outage the day Gore gave his concession speech and W gave his acceptance speech.
I was so desperate to see the speeches, I went to Best Buy (located in a part of town not hit by the outage) to watch them. The TV aisle at Best Buy was crowded with other political junkies who had to see the speeches, too.
Recount was the most amazing thing in my life second to 911. I worked all day, watched cspan all night, my life halted and ony FR saved me. It was unfathomable to someone not there.
