Why would the Republican party even want to get rid of religious conservatives who are very passionate ?

Why would the Republican party even want to get rid of religious conservatives who are very passionate ?I don't. I do, however, wish to not have those that think that simply BEING religious makes one a conservative, even if they're wrong on EVERY OTHER ISSUE. That's the problem we have with Huckabee, it's the incorrect notion that simply by virtue of being a Christian, that it automatically qualifies one as a Christian CONSERVATIVE. There are a lot of conservative Christians, but there are also a lot of liberal ones (Huck.)

I believe it's you claiming that...frankly I'm tired of the Christian Right threatening to leave....it's like a bad marriage....
