They can be a “Christian” in jail.
Christ said “today you will be with me in paradise” not to the theif who tried to use him to get out of the sentence, but to the other.
Paul and Silas did not escape from prison after the earthquake. They remained and became a witness to the jailor.
Redemption and forgiveness does not mean punishment is suspended.

Bill Clinton was a Rhodes scholar.
He may have also had a Fullbright scholarship; I don’t recall that one.
To: CottonBall
Is it because they don't really know who he is yet or do they know, but don't care because his being Christian is more important than his stance on the issues? yes and YES.

Another one of the non-story stories that the MSM runs over and over
Chris Wallace had a RatherTM "fake but accurate" moment about that story this evening . I about blew my top. Mary Matalin accurately put him in his place- told him he sounded just like Dan Rather lol.

“People better be careful. The Clinton people are the best organized. I think rumors of her demise may be premature.”
You may be right. It’s harder to choose the pecking order for the Dems, as I don’t have as good a feel for them, not being one. And Billary do have a very good organization. We’ll find out soon enough how this will all play out.
To: CottonBall
I think they look at the surface veneer and don’t dig further.
They forget that Clinton carried a big ol’ Bible into church right before he did...other things.

“Fred Thompson, BTW, gets 100% on this same test.”
Sorry, Fred is only a moderate on Abortion and Homosexuality. His federalism is a liability on those issues. Proably why he never got the attention of conservative evangelicals.
Also, Huckabee has from the get go said we are in a world war with Islamofacists. That doesn’t sound weak on the WOT.

Johnnie — exactly
BTW — what did Huckabee do about abortion when he was Governor?? Did he try to challenge the courts?? States can make laws you know .
Coservatives also believe in the 10th Amendment. It defines the first 9

I tried to explain all of that to a Huckabee supporter last night and amazingly - the conversation ended - no response. I guess understanding the constitution and the court system aren’t pre-reqs for choosing a candidate even if the main issue is one of constitutional law.

I absolutely agree, don’t underestimate Clinton.
I believe she will win and knows it. This is a total set up.
Obama is counting on young people like Dean did. They won’t show in the numbers he needs on a Thursday night in Iowa.
She has 5000 vehicles and drivers picking up senior citizens. They will be ready at the door.
I think she wins IA and is a walk to the nomination.
