I thought the time was right to start up a live thread for results and comments about tonight, so here we are!
You said — “This summarizes my thoughts as well about Huck.”
Well, I guess the GOP better hurry up and get another Christian candidate that can get a higher vote score than Huckabee... :-)
It would appear that we are talking about different men or different alternate realities or some such.
Walter Martin proved his mettle in radio debates more or less endlessly for years. Few folks could even remotely half match him.
Perhaps you got your info from Wiki or some other K-Mart blue light special place?
Having heard many hours of Walter Martin in fine form as well as read a good deal of Kingdom of the Cults . . . I’m not likely to trust what must be wholesale disinformation about him.
Are you LDS? Or JW?
Thanks for the update, Milwaukee Guy!
Obama is a grifter

Nothing changed on the first item; just more appropriate to ask another question...
Thanks a lot DU just took your post and posted on DU out of context already the DU’ers are watching this place...
All of our so-called "pro-life" politicians have done absolutely nothing to stop the vast majority of abortions in the past 35 years. I hate the issue. I hate abortion. If our "conservative" leaders take the gloves off and abolish it, then we can never have to deal with it in an election again. I don't think abortion is ever an option. Fred does:
Statement from Fred Thompson
Contact: Press Office, 571-730-1010; www.Fred08.com
MCLEAN, Virginia, Nov. 29 /Standard Newswire/ -- Senator Fred Thompson released the following statement tonight regarding abortion:
"In tonight's debate we saw once again that on abortion, Rudy Giuliani is pro-choice and Mitt Romney is multiple choice. I believe abortion should only be allowed in the instances of rape, incest and the life of the mother and penalties should be assessed against the abortion doctor and not the woman."
Now contrast that with Huckabee (who is not abolitionist enough):
What I accomplished as Governor proves that there is a lot more that a pro-life President can do than wait for a Supreme Court vacancy, and I will do everything I can to promote a pro-life agenda and pass pro-life legislation. If I'm saddled with a Democrat Congress, I'll veto any pro-abortion legislation they pass. I will staff all relevant positions with pro-life appointees. I will use the Bully Pulpit to change hearts and minds, to move this country from a culture of death to a culture of life. I have no desire to throw women in jail, I just want us to stop throwing babies in the garbage.
Better to quell the firey darts... LOL
Well Tim... I guess when the Puerto Rican guy gets twice as many precincts as you do, it's time to get out of the game.
THANKS TONS.
I sometimes wonder if anyone gets even enough of a chuckle out of it to bother . . .
It is hard to load all her significant atributes/mentors into one label . . . LOL.
But on occasxion someone as kind as you will comment and make my day.
I do also think it is important to keep her values in front of folks’ faces . . . she is deadly to all we hold dear and right. Her focus and values must be remembered in November.
Thanks again,
The Best of God’s Blessings in the New Year for you and yours.
I don’t know. I was raised without cable and as an adult married woman have literally never had a tv in our home. So I don’t know what her draw is. Perhaps it’s what is referred to as Q factor.
I do know that you don’t make it in the media just on the PC graces of the vultures and cannibals that populate the industry. Nor do you parlay a hefty entertainment salary into a 2.5 billion dollar media empire in a talent vacuum.
So Oprah has made some good choices regarding marketing herself, and investing her earnings. She didn’t inherit that 2.5 billion and she didn’t marry it, she earned it, conserved it and grew it.
Compare that to Anna Nicole Smith or Brittany Spears, both who come from equivalent albeit white trash versions of ghetto. Dead and dead drunk (and bald) is all they seem to make out of their shot at the golden ring.
The thing speaks for itself.

I’m sorry a fellow Fredhead posted that. They were wrong to do so. I would like nothing better than to see Duncan and Fred duking it out for the nomination. I sure would feel better about that than the current choices (aside from those two.) I half expect that Duncan will drop out before long to protect the campaign of his son. He will be a loss to the Conservative movement if that is the last we hear from him. (And I was rooting for him to pull 5% in Iowa and send the MSM into a fit.)
From reports on TV it looks like if you take away self-professed evangelicals Huck was not very successful. I wonder what the percentage of evangelicals is nationwide. I doubt more than 20%. I bet in the big electoral states it is less than 10%. I wonder what percent of the MSM is evangelicals.
It’s established and standard Christian definition, when it comes to salvation — you don’t meet up with Christian doctrine — you’re not Christian... it’s not hard to understand...
Nan, I am scared. I thought the Obama phenom would be over by now. Last night, saw him being interviewed on ABCNews, and when he flashed his “grin,” it was the creepiest sight I have ever seen on anyone’s face. Total madness.
Madness is sometimes mistaken for charisma. Maybe Nowhere Man is right.
