I assume the faster Fred drops out, the faster his conservative supporters will back the other conservative in the race, like they should have from day one.

I wish you were right, but the Christian conservatives will go to the Huckster; the fiscal conservatives will go to Mitt. Some will go to McCain because, well, they don’t know any better.

I think Duncan is fantastic. However, as much as I like to B & M, I don’t want to be complaining about having Mitt or Rudy as a nominee.

Interesting,

It seems the candidate with the fewer supporters and even less cash would be the one to drop out.

The reality is that kook paul has more money in the bank than hunter.

The reality is while MSM is proping up McCain again with free airtime, hunter is not even registering in the polls.

hahahahahaha................Man, you are way off if you consider the other candidates to be conservative!!!!!!!!!

Fred is THE ONLY CONSERVATIVE. Thats why he campaigns within his budget.
If your other so called “conservatives” lead by example, they will tax us and spend like a drunken demoRat.
A good package like Fred don’t need to spend millions of dollars “convincing people” how badly he wants the job.
Man..............your idea of what is conservative is wayyyyyyyy off!!

But you don't post criticisms of Fred's conservatism, positions or policies. You criticize his campaign. Given where Hunter is in the polls, don't you think you should get your own house in order, before critizing others? Or is it just that Hunter's campaing is too pathetic to bother?

You're not going to win over many hearts by crapping all over Thompson every chance you get.

IMHO it's high time for Hunter to throw his support behind Thompson and wish the man the best. Thompson will finish 2nd or a strong 3rd tomorrow while Hunter (unfortunately because I really like him) will not be a factor at all.

You should never “assume.” Most I’ve spoken to are going to give their support to Mitt should the worst happen and Fred drops out.

Except that Duncan is much more likely to drop out before Fred, not the reverse.

Duncan Hunter isn’t going to be on many GOP primary ballots so it would be nearly impossible for him to win. Hunter needs to drop out and endorse Thompson, the only conservative that I can actually vote for here in Arkansas.

Like they should have done?

It’s primary season. Thompson is the final viable conservative choice. If I have to vote for a RHINO fine, just don’t insult me because you think I should’ve done it sooner.

If all of hunter’s support supported Fred, it wouldn’t raise him 1%. While if all of Freds support went to hunter, he would be in 4th place at 12%. So I don’t see any reason for you to continue to bash Fred. Freds supporters aren’t enough to help Duncan out of the back of the pack. So STOP IT already!!!

I’m amazed that Two conservative candidates can’t get to 13% while Huck, Romney and Insane lead the pack.

But as my Christmas gift to you, if for some reason Duncan stays on the card with only 1%, I’m going to write in “pissant” rather than vote for Duncan.
Seeing as my vote won’t help him any more than it helped Fred, I might as well enjoy it when I write in a name.

If you assume that Thompson will bow out after finishing third in Iowa, while Hunter will soldier on afer getting maybe one tenth of one percent of the caucus votes, you are even more deluded than kevmo, the other Hunter supporter still nursing faint hope. Hunter will bow out before the New Hampshire primary. He'll be the first to go. McCain will be next, after Florida. Alan Keyes and Ron Paul will continue embarrassing themselves right up to the convention, but by super Tuesday, there will only be two viable candidates left, Romney and Thompson. Huckabee will be around, but not a factor; ditto Giuliani.

You gotta be on crack. A candidate thats only raised a couple million dollars so far is going nowhere. You might as well start looking for a good third party to vote for ...right about...NOW!

Not a chance. Can you not see the perfect ticket would be Thompson and VP Hunter? I am sorry that Hunter did not get more recognition, but he didn't.

The media has not ceased to tell everyone ho listens to them that Fred is old, lazy, stumbling, etc. They say nothing to his message. They are so against him because he is a bonifide conservative and they prefer a RINO if they have to stomach a Repub Pres.

Just because ABC says it doesn't make it anywhere close to the truth.

You have a very idealistic and unplausible view.

I disagree. Tearing down Fred, only means good things for Mitt, Huckabee...or RUDY.
