And for you also.

Question:

Does everyone/anyone have a traditional New Year’s Eve dinner item they always have???

For us it’s shrimp, grits, fresh green beans and Planter’s Punch.

We have a New Years day tradition of blackeyed peas with ham hocks. (Of course cornbread is a must)

It’s for good luck in the new year.

Yours sounds delish. I truly love shrimp & grits.

What is “Planters Punch”?

As a child, my mother always fed us black eyed peas, greens, cornbread and ham.

As an adult and being the only one in the house that will eat black eyed peas or greens, I don’t fix that stuff.

We just eat what ever we’re in the mood for!
