Trying to raise your daughter to be responsible and conservative is fine. Those of us who allow our children to watch Hannah Montana or other things that you find inappropriate doesn’t mean we’re lazy or uncaring. We all have different ways, we all have different kids but I think we all try to do what we believe is best for them.
The point I was trying to make is that it is a mistake for parents to encourage their kids to chase the latest trendy fad from Hollywood whatever it may be. Parents that spend hundreds of dollars on Hannah Montana tickets are setting almost as bad of an example for their kids as that Garland mother. Not sure if some of these parents know the difference between reality and fantasy. If not, I feel sorry for the kids.
Liking a TV show is one thing. Spending gobs of money on merchandise for that TV show is something else.
