OK. And so....

And so you still can't get directly to the American Spectator.

Incidentally, i use Scroogle as well as Firefox, and SuSE Linux. Funny thing is that i actually did acquire a virus from somewhere. It was a Windows executable that had no effect on my system. Tracked it down with AVG antivirus for Linux, found it confused, shivering in a corner of my Firefox cache, and terminated it with extreme prejudice.

Have a good holiday dear.

I meant balls wise....sure they have plenty of money with their overvalued stock but you can look at them.....they look like dweebs .....wouldn’t bust a grape

fascism is an odd thing. it's the reign of the weak and useless over the virtuous and strong. it requires artificial power the likes of which are found in (and perhaps also the result of) seasons of popular madness, when the good are distracted, the lukewarm are emasculated, and wicked strut about.

damn, that's so good I may quote myself!

“Clara Lou” is my user name. “Dear” isn’t part of my user name. I’ll thank you to keep your smug, condescending tone to yourself.

That's incredible...I Did that search and found the following on the 1st 2 links:

BBC NEWS | Americas | 'Miserable failure' links to BushWeb users manipulate a popular search engine so an unflattering description leads to the president's page. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3298443.stm - 32k - Cached - Similar pages

Google Kills Bush's Miserable Failure Search & Other Google BombsLet's get everyone to link to http://www.whitehouse.gov/president/gwbbio.html with the words "Miserable Failure" Our goal is to make Shrubya the top google ...

Snopes confirms as well...but crazy popups are there.

Much ado about very little. Spectator does have a ton of pop ups.

If you do a google on american spectator, you’ll see that warning, BUT, if you scroll down a few lines, you’ll see another hit for american spectator WITHOUT any warnings at all. Very ckickable.

Google uses an algorithm and automates the process of warnings based on the results of the math.

OTOH, if Spectator would start using a ton of Google Ad Sense ad words...LOL

Tony dear, I’ve had the google toolbar since it came out and no problems. It was especially hand while doing the daily Foxhole threads we used to do. I may not like their politics but if I stay away from everything I’m against I’d have to start living in the mountains somewhere growing my own food and living pretty rough.

Good to see you buddy.

Run by Stalinists? Oh please. Liberal and left-leaning, maybe, but Stalinists? Maybe time to turn down the Michael Savage rhetotic?

The thing people fail to understand is that google's "great grandfathers" were stalinists. and they were up front about it. As the generations succeeded one another, the stalin-specific part faded more and more into the background, but the message is the same. So much, that the "great grandchildren" of the first group may not even know who stalin is. As long as his tactics are being implemented, he doesn't care. For when his vision is fully realized, they will ALL know his name, at an early age, in schools everywhere.

We did have a nice quiet Christmas. How about you?

I absolutely won’t go to Citgo, that’s easy, however, I try not to buy Chinese but that is almost impossible for me, I live rural and I can go 10 miles to a Walmart or 20 miles to a Walmart. But I do look at labels and try to find something at least not made in a communist country, difficult as that is!

Hope you are doing well. ((Hugs))

When I click on the Spectator's site, I see two scripts that want to load:

a) fastclick.net
b) adnetinteractive.com

They're blocked by a program, NoScript, that I use with Firefox.

I did a internet search on them and of the two, fastclick net turned up on several forums as a pain in the backside adware program.

Your mileage may vary as to whether or not either of those sites would be classified as harmful or as a problem.

Fwiw, NoScript will also block Google-analytics, which FR uses, as do many other sites.

You have to be diligent about Citgo. Small stations have reverted to using their own name to hide Citgo. For instance, near me there is a gas station called the 44 Truckstop, it’s really a citgo. I have an icon on my desktop that give gas prices updated daily, it includes that this station is a Citgo 44 Truckstop, something the owners leave out of the sign.

((Hugs))

Wonderful. I suppose that’s why they took down most Citgo signs in states where they still operate.
