"About the author: Philadelphia journalist Dave Lindorff is a 34-year veteran,(terrible misuse of the word), an award-winning journalist,(from other nut case journalists) a former New York Times contributor,(figures) a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, (figures again), a two-time Journalism Fulbright Scholar, and the co-author, with Barbara Olshansky, of a well-regarded book on impeachment, The Case for Impeachment.(Well regarded by the lunatic left). His work is available at www.thiscantbehappening.net." (Unless its free, it's over priced).

Has there ever been a clearer reason why the MSM is dying? Ocassionally you come across something so eye poppingly stupid that you have to comment. Here we have the compassion of the left on display, a desciple of Al Gore taking the myth of Global warming to the next logical step, destroy the South and southern California for political gain. I guess flooding half the country is the only way anyone would move back to the north east, that mecca of understanding and knowledge. And all this will happen before his cats die? Oh well, he is one vote for Kucinich...

On the one side we have the War on Terror— WOT.

The other side has the War on Climate Terror—WOCT.

Isn’t the accepted rate of Global Warming from the ‘experts’ about .5 or 1 degree Celcius over a hundred years?

"Millons of people are going to die, millions more will be displaced. But that's OK, they're just Republicans."

The lines between Liberalism and Communism/Facism blur just a little more. Without invoking the "H" name, there have been a few other dictators this past century who thought this way, too.

It was a record year for cold temperatures for many spots on the globe. And yep, people really do die from the cold...

"South America this year experienced one of its coldest winters in decades. In Buenos Aires, snow fell for the first time since the year 1918. Dozens of homeless people died from exposure. In Peru, 200 people died from the cold and thousands more became infected with respiratory diseases. Crops failed, livestock perished, and the Peruvian government declared a state of emergency."

Much to the chagrin of this commie creep, none of 'em were Republicans.

LOL! And not just the north east, but the compassionate leftie urban north east (forget rural areas). Thanks for the post. Great read.

So again, we will see the decline and depopulation of the nation’s vast midsection—noted for its consistent conservatism.

If the vast conservative midsection is being depopulated, it's because of the urban left's massive taxation for their own use and the loss of rural job sources driving folks to the city in search of work. To pay the taxes to fund the left's entitlements.

Here in rural PA we routinely hear of new 'ideas' coming out of Philly and Harrisburg on how to tax us (share the misery) to help pay for crumbling Philly. (No offense to Philly freepers.)

Denver Co broke an 1894 record for most snowfall on Christmas Day...

They sure could use some Glowbull warming there.

This neo-malthusianism never goes away. It seems it has no rules and no boundaries: whatever disaster you can imagine is true.

Hey dude - we had a very cold December up north in Minnesota, much colder than the normal. I think we only had about 2 days over 32 degrees, and those were about 33 degrees.

The first snowflakes that fell after Thanksgiving are still on the pavement all packed down into a sheet of gray one inch bumpy snow. I can’t properly call it ice, as it hasn’t been warm enough for it to change to ice, which requires thawing and freezing!
