SO...Saddam was a Shia, does that make Bhutto good or bad?
I read her Wiki entry and shi initially supported the Taliban in Afghanistan because she thought it would stabilize the country...then she repudiated the Tallys because of terrorism.

I’m conflicted! Do we like her or not? I’ve always thought she received so many allegations of corruption, she must be doing something...she was Prime Minister twice...

No, Shiites are the largest group in Iraq, but Saddam was Sunni. This is a large source of the tension between Shiite Iran and Sunni Iraq: that Iraq was the ancestral birthplace of Shiah.

Is she good or bad? She’s anti-terrorist and her courage suggests she’s not motivated by “what’s in it for me.” She may make a lot of bad moves, and hold a lot of questionnable ideals, but selflessness and a repudiation of terror are alone enough to make her a “good guy” in the region to me... even if she has a lot of deals with a lot of corrupt people.
