Free Republic W2 Inaugural Ball - 2005

Free Republic's 2001 Inaugural Ball and Count the White House Silverware Party was such a rousing success that 61 million Americans demanded we do it again in 2005. So, we are!

The Free Republic W2 Inaugural Ball, featuring Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and his rock and roll band, Capitol Offense, will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2005 in Washington, D.C.

We are very honored that Governor Huckabee and Capitol Offense accepted our invitation to play a return engagement at our Ball. Everyone was so thrilled by their performance at the 2001 Ball that asking the band to play at this Ball was our first priority on November 3rd.

The FreeRepublic Ball in 2001 was the culmination of a wonderful day, even though it was cold and rainy. There were so many scruffy protesters, but they couldn't dampen the spirits of the W supporters.

When we left the ball, it was snowing. The mud on the mall was replaced by a picture perfect snow scene the next morning, just like W replaced the trash that had moved out of the White House.
