“If he breathed on his own, that showed that the part of his brain (stem) controlling breathing was working, whether injured or not. By taking the vent away, he had no chance for any healing. They killed him. Two weeks is nothing. Im sure theyve killed before.”
They didn’t even TRY to save this young man. It’s so heartbreaking.
Here’s what I post every once in awhile which is closely related (not that he necessarily had a living will, but what they did to this young man should make people think):
“Always make sure you know what you’re getting into with a “living will.” For instance, if you say: “I don’t want to be on a respirator,” it could mean one thing if it would only prolong an imminent death for months or years, and another thing if it would only be needed for 48 or more hours after an accident, and one could be restored to normal health.”
