Well Romney would be the only other choice and he was once a liberal. Fred left the Senate, and for good reason. I would expect a McCain Sec Def if Fred was elected. I think that would be ok for starters, he had the Iraq surge right. I would hope he had a Hunter VP slot but I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked a guy like Haley Barbour.

Romney still is a Liberal. You can't give a pig a bath, paint it's nails, put a ribbon on it and make it a poodle. It's still a pig.

Hunter would be a much better Sec of Def and more usefull than VP. But between Rudy, Fred, Mitt, and McCain he would be the POTUS most aligned to Reagan which is what we need. McCain needs to join Lott and Warner in the private sector hopefully to never hold public office again elected or otherwise much less hold any position on national policy.

Hunter is the only one running POTUS wise with even a slightest a clue as to how bad off our military really is and addresses the issue. Four more years of Bush/Clinton/Bush defense policies and you will see a collapse in such programs as the National Guards and Reserves and quite possibly even active military. Lip service does not resolve problems that have been ongoiung since Poppy and Sec of Def Cheney made a mess of things. We need a leader who understands it's about our troops needs and our own national defenses and not about the contractors payments for services maybe or maybe not rendered.
