The Enquirer has killed the link. They did it shortly after Drudge found the link. If you go to Drudge’s site, the header titled “Developing....” links to the Enquirer’s hidden link. That link has been replaced by a generic Enquirer page.

The Enquirer was not ready to run with this. Drudge found the cover and I found the hidden link (which is now gone).

Strong suspicion that a Clintonite tipped Drudge to all of this-—remember that Drudge has said it is very important to him to get Hillary material.

Hmmm ... I wonder who told the Inquirer to pull the story off-line. Perhaps someone who figured out that too many Edwards votes would go elsewhere.

I don't know how many remember this but when the Jesse Jackson love child story was about to break, it appeared that a FR poster guessed the link that Matt had ready to post at 10:00 PM and put the link address in a thread here about five hours before Matt had apparently agreed to post it.

Matt was pissed off and apparently contacted Jim Robinson about posters here "hacking" his site and making early exposure of a link he had agreed to hold until a certain time.

My interpretation was the a paper had given the information to Matt to pump up its exclusive that was coming out and the timing of Matt's post was to augment the paper's story by the timing of Matt's page starting to siren its appearance in a newspaper account. Interesting symbiosis, if that indeed was how it went down.

Now here, we have a case that appears to be Matt finding something on NE and posting it prior to it being publically linked. It is surprisingly similar to what he was so angry with us about.

Jim came down hard on that thread as his relations with Matt had been strained due to Trixie and other events of the prior two years where formerly they had had a good relationship, or, at least, that was the way I saw it.
