I’m not following the logic. Let me state first, I am NOT a fan of the NEA. However, TX schools have similar policies and they are NOT a union state. I did not belong to the NEA when I taught there.
It IS an issue of money, however. The school districts get paid per student, so they have no incentive not to take in every one they can. In addition, they get MORE money for any student who needs special services. So, illegal alien children are at least a twofer, if not a more than twofer.
It would be interesting to see how keen they were to educate them if they were actually docked money for every day an illegal student took up classroom space....

Well .. maybe you didn’t have to belong to the NEA .. but their policies govern most school districts. They are the ones who give millions of union dollars to democrats who get all these crazy rules we have to follow with our children in their schools.
Don’t get me wrong .. there are a lot of good teachers .. but the NEA is close to being a criminal organization - the way they take money from the hardworking teachers and then give it to democrats in order to buy the legislation they want - such as the homosexual agenda in our schools.
