With a hidden FBI camera rolling inside a New York hotel suite in 2003, an unsuspecting Rev. Al Sharpton, Democratic candidate for president, spoke candidly.

Sharpton offered to help Philadelphia fund-raiser Ronald A. White win a multimillion-dollar business deal, if White helped him raise $50,000 for politics.

White offered $25,000. "If you bring my guys up on this hedge fund, and I have the right conversation," White said, "I'll give you what you need."

"Cool," Sharpton said

Of the investigation, Sharpton predicted, "It went nowhere three years ago and it's going nowhere now."

Al knows the fix is in?

I wouldn’t be too sure that the MSM will protect him. Could be some MSM payback for the Imus hit.

Agreed; but the Inquirer is a left wing rag. The fact that they posted this is huge. This is just the tip of ice berg.

What are the odds of a New York, Philadelphia, or D.C. jury (likely sources for venue) actually convicting Sharpton of anything? He’ll blame it on The Man...and jury nullification will kick in for acquittal.

“Oh, and BTW, Jesse Jackson has not earned that title, either.”

I thought you got the REVEREND license the same place you get the HANDICAP license plates.

“In an interview yesterday, Sharpton said there is “absolutely nothing illegal” about tying business deals to fund-raising because he is not a public official.”

Isn’t this true?

Of course that doesn’t mean that the other issues he is being investigated for (tax evasion and campaign finance violations) aren’t legit.

I am sick and tired of this #$%^!

The man is guilty as sin - and should go to prison.

Let it be a message to corrupt Democrats everywhere.

Yeah - pay with a hefty prison sentence.

“Pay to Play” is the Democrats mantra for corruption here in NJ and Philly.

The following excerpt from the article shows that Sharpton is hedging his bets by implying that IF the tapes are incriminating, it's because they were edited to appear that way. He's also, tying the investigation into his activities surrounding the Jena situation, ensuring that if he is charged, there will be riots. He's human slime, plain and simple.

"You can make tapes sound like whatever you want," he said, "but the timing of this is ridiculous."

Sharpton was referring to his recent protests and commentary about the racial controversy in Jena, La., involving six black teenagers accused of beating a white classmate.

"This is government harassment," he said. "I knew this investigation would come back when we started the Jena protests."

Sharpton is a rotten thug.

He is now going after Chicago's bid for the olympics over "race" incidents in the police department.

The real reason is he wants his cut. He's nothing but a shakedown artist.
