“McCain faced the enemy in combat, bled, was imprisioned, and tortured for his country. I don’t give a hoot what you think of the man’s politics but I think it’s pretty insolent to call him a “traitor.””

50,000 from my generation DIED in Vietnam. They weren’t imprisoned and tortured (subsequently spilling their guts), they DIED. Get it?

I’m not referring with the term “traitor.” to his inferior flying skills in the war but to his alignment with the democrats once he got to Washington...

A generation belongs to no one, because it includes the despicable as well as the heroic. Each man stands on his own merits. Those who died for their country, those who bled for their country, and those who served whether wounded, captured, tortured (spilled their guts) or not are the heroes. Those who refer to members of that group as traitors are the despicable. Get it?
