I’ve never seen a hockey game live so I’ll take your word for it.
I agree with your second part.

Tell you what I’m loving - XM 164 is the old time radio channel. That’s entertainment!

My dad had season tickets to the Blackhawks.
He used to drag me there all the time.

The Classics is what I enjoy watching the most. A time when men acted like gentlemen and treated the women on the screen like ladies. Vulgar language and gratuitous sex was unheard of and unnecessary to carry the plot.

The old radio dramas were the best. Nothing can come close to what you can see in your own head. I think that’s related to why I like minimalist stage plays (a la The Fantasticks).

All I knew was that his first wife was an alcoholic. I thought that’s what killed her. I didn’t know about the rest of it.

I believe in his personal life he didn’t have a clue. I read the book his son Gary wrote, years ago. He screwed those kids up royally.

Most of the movies I watch are foreigh films with subtitles. Could really never get into the Hollywierd
films except for a few of the early 1930s to a few to the early 1940s.

If you ever get to listen to the radio play “Halt, who goes there” it’ll scare the crap out of you. It’s the radio show version of “The Thing”
Amazing how the brain works.

I like the fact that, due to being preserved, you don’t have to be an old-timer to be a fan of old movies or radio.

With few exceptions, I only watch movies made in the ‘30s and ‘40s. That was the Golden Age of Hollywood in my opinion, when stars at least ACTED as if they were moral and when they had some semblance of patriotism.
