Oprah Winfrey has garnered lots of press over the impact she might have on the presidential election by actively campaigning for Barack Obama but Bill Clinton actually has far more influence among voters than Oprah.
In a new CBS/New York Times national poll, 44 percent of Democratic primary voters said they were more likely to vote for Hillary because of her husband. But only 1 percent said they were more likely to vote for Obama because of Oprah.
Less than half of respondents 46 percent said the former president made no difference in how they view Hillarys candidacy, and just 7 percent said they were less likely to vote for her because of Bill.
According to the poll, Bill Clinton could be more important to Hillary Clintons supporters than the issue the candidate has made the cornerstone of her campaign: experience, Fox News reported.
Twenty-six percent of those polled said they support Clinton because of her husband. Only 23 percent said they support her because of her experience.
The poll also showed that Hillary is viewed as the most electable Democratic candidate 63 percent said she has the best chance of winning, while 14 percent said Obama was most electable and 10 percent chose John Edwards.
Opie earned a lot of money, but I believe that the klintons still are ahead seeing how they have stolen more than she earned.
................or, it could be that Bill has been with more black women that Oprah ;-)
This has all the attributes of Aural Transmission (Demos), rather than Textual Transmission (Republicans).
Draw you own conclusions.....
That either of them has much influence with voters is a sad commentary on America.
Yes... most of the time... but sometimes they let a real doozy out! :-)
