Option to DSL; Satellite Internet

You must really dislike Slapshot to give him/her such advice. DSL is cheaper, faster and steadier than satellite. I don't know anyone on earth who would take satellite over DSL if given the choice. I speak from experience.

My system works very well, download speeds similar to cable. I don’t upload big files. Yes, there is a 2-3 second lag for the signal to travel to and from the satellite. And upload is not much faster then dial up. You get used to it. My experience with DSL was not good. To each their own. The technology is different and relatively new. For some, satellite is a viable option. There is even airband now...
