It’s a BS poll. The numbers add up to almost 100%. That means that people who don’t know Huckabee are being pressed to make a decision, and in such circumstances, they ALWAYS vote for the known quantity. If you ran Howard Dean up against a brilliant war hero with the ideology of Reagan, Dean would get about 80% of the vote. American voters will NEVER, EVER, EVER cast a vote for someone they don’t know at all, no matter HOW much they HATE the opponent.

Aww, come on, the debates would be fun: When we were coddled in bed in Little Rock with you, your company, which donated to my campaigns..., begins the Huckster.

Vote for the Huckster, 'cause 8 years of the Little Rock mafia wasn't enough...

Is C-SPAN broadcasting it live tomorrow?

Yes, so I'm told. Also Fox, CNN and MSNBC.

Looks like the most comprehensive coverage of any debate yet.

At least Bob Dole’s crippled nature was right out there for everyone to see. We don’t need another Dole.

When did Freepers start taking CNN polls as the gospel.

A Zogby poll two weeks showed exactly the opposite, i.e, that Huckabee holds a five point lead over Hillary in a general election matchup, the largest lead of any potential Republican candidate.

Romney and Rudy are the two weakest candidates in a general election matchup against Clinton, Zogby found.

ZOGBY INTERNATIONAL
November 26, 2007

General election match-ups show the New York
senator would lose against every top Republican

UTICA, New York – A new Zogby Interactive survey shows Democrat Hillary Clinton of New York would lose to every one of the top five Republican presidential contenders, representing a reversal of fortune for the national Democratic front–runner who had led against all prospective GOP opponents earlier this year.

Huckabee 44% +5
Clinton 39

Thompson 44% +4
Clinton 40

McCain 42% +4
Clinton 38

Giuliani 43% +3
Clinton 40

Romney 43% +3
Clinton 40

The online survey included 9,150 likely voters nationwide, and was conducted Nov. 21–26, 2007. It carries a margin of error of +/– 1.0 percentage points.

Rasmussen in the last two weeks also showed Huck is the only GOP candidate leading Hillary in Arkansas, while every other GOPer trails her by double digits.

The Huckster is near the bottom of the list of "conservative" candidates, IMHO, and he will be ripped to shreds by the MSM once they get him promoted to the nomination. The goal is to get a beatable whipping boy to the ticket, so the Hildabeast/Obama ticket can waltz into the White House.

Huckabee will do as much good for conservative America as the last Governor from Arkansas did for us.....

There are only three realistic candidates: Rudy, Romney and Huck. Two of them are clowns that will be shredded by the scrutiny of the general election. Rudy is thoroughly steeped in the corruption of N.Y.C. politics, and the stories will get much worse than using the NYPD as a private car service for his mistress. Huck is a freak that could start speaking in tounges at any moment. Romney’s best quality is that he is not an embarrasment, and with this field of losers to choose from, that’s a winning hand. The bottom line is this, the general election will be won by the electoral votes of a handful of states. If you care about electing a Republican, don’t vote for someone that can’t win Ohio (Rudy and Huck), or may actually lose Florida (Rudy...take it from me, Floridians don’t like New Yorkers and are really turned off by Rudy. He would not be able to mobilize volunteers).

The ONLY Republican in the list that COULD win Ohio is Thompson, period.

I live in Ohio, and it's now an entitlement-based electorate (seasoned citizens + blue-collar union folk), and unless a plain-talking conservative like Fred is the nominee, the Democrats take Ohio easily.

FRed's connection with the common guy-on-the-street is what would propel him here, and his outside-the-mainstream-politicians appeal is key. Bob Taft destroyed any Republican's chances in Ohio for years to come, otherwise.

In Ohio, Romney is seen as an East Coast rich guy, with NO appeal to the blue-collar class, period.

Your analysis is incorrect and Romney is a loser RINO, IMHO.

Something is wrong with Rasmussen's poll. Huckabee left here with a don't let the door hit you on your way out fare thee well.

Hillary isn't popular here either, BUT she is a Democrat.

I'd say it was a toss up who is disliked more.

Don’t underestimate Romney in a Clinton general election matchup.

“Don’t underestimate Romney in a Clinton general election matchup.”

If Mitt’s the nominee, some southern states will go to Hillary, starting with Arkansas.
