COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (CNN) -- A Colorado Springs megachurch instituted security precautions after a shooting at a Denver area mission center earlier Sunday, saving "hundreds of lives" at the New Life Church, senior Pastor Brady Boyd said Monday.
A New Life parishioner acting as a security guard shot and killed a gunman who entered the church Sunday afternoon after he had gotten no more than 50 feet inside the building, Boyd said.

Boyd said the female security guard was a hero in preventing further bloodshed, rushing to confront the gunman just inside the church.
"She probably saved over a hundred lives," Boyd said of the guard, whom he said is not a law enforcement officer and used her personal weapon.

"Hundreds of lives were saved yesterday because of the plan that was put in place," said Boyd, who put the number of people on the church campus at the time as 7,000.

They keep trying to spin this as a licensed guard with a gun who is FEMALE.
If these had been joe blow security guard, CNN would be demanding an indictment.

I can only think that God had something to do with this outcome. Imagine rushing a guy with an assault rifle, armed only with faith, and only getting a scratch.

Well, when Jesus told His disciples to sell their cloaks and buy a sword, the immediate context is that portion of His discourse where He was warning them that whereas previously they had had all their needs met while they went about Israel preaching the Kingdom, now that He was leaving, they would not have the protection of His immediate earthly presence, and would need to provide the tools for their own provision and protection (implicitly understanding that it is God who provides the means to get and utilise these, of course).
When the disciples said they had two swords, and Jesus said "It is enough" (which you are right, He was basically telling them to stop talkig about it), Jesus had by this point told His disciples that He was going to be taken and "reckoned among the transgressors", which was a parabolic way of telling them that all the events prophecied, such as His trials and crucifixion, were about to take place. The disciples apparently misunderstood, and thought that the swords were for the immediate purpose of fighting those who came to take Him away (which is what they subsequently tried to do).
