I once dated a woman who was Episcopalian, and a graduate of one that faith’s most prestigious seminaries(but not as a divinity student) who used to say the following: “It’s not a child until it’s born.”
That did it for me.
I am now maried to a beautiful and God fearing woman. She is a gift from God.
When they say “not a child until it is born”, what happens when it is prematurely delivered? How to you know when THAT becomes a baby?
I hear that a fetus isn’t a baby because it can’t live on its own. Is a “premie” still just a fetus?
Is a 9month-6 week old still a fetus because it can’t seek out a food source and shelter on its own?
