And why not just end the whole thing and support the real deal, Duncan Hunter?
Because Hunter is advocating a confrontational policy that troubles a nation running on the fumes of the sacrifices made by patriots who understood the necessity to face challenges.
The current factionalism is the result of the false sense of security brought on by America's spectacular victories against existential threats in the past. Only a catastrophic demonstration, one that dwarfs the tragedy of 911, will make it possible for leaders of Hunter's strength and forehandedness to gain traction with an electorate shaken out of its stupidity.

Our situation brings to mind a camp in the great frozen north. Wolves are in the area. Unless we keep the fire burning high they will grow bolder and come closer to the camp. Hence, the WTC attacks of 1993 and 2001.

Huck will straighten out the boozers just like he did the smokers. Some drinkers were all to happy to kick the smokers out so they can have the bar for themselves. Huck will fix it...I have the feeling that if the Huckster had been around in 1919, he would be championing the 18th Amendment...

Huckleberry is NOT a conservative at all! He is a tax and spend social LIB masquerading as a Republican, campaigningas a populist. As for a righteously moral person Huckleberry lost that title with all of his lies.

That's the problem. Abortion is one thing, as the right to life delineated in our founding documents is prior to all other rights.
Smoking and drinking however, while destructive to the individual, cannot be regulated at the federal level in a constitutionally kosher way. If a predominantly Baptist county in Texas - or LDS county in Utah - wants to remain "dry", that's one thing and is federalism at its finest. But federal statute!? No. Not for this.

Well said...The timidity and lack of purpose, for whatever the reasons, demonstrated by the US responses to the Islamo-fascists since the days of that idiot Carter led directly to those, and other, atrocities.

I told my wife the same thing last night.
If Governor Huckabee somehow wins the nomination expect headlines and references to Reverand Huckabee vs. Governor. I think that there are a lot of evangelicals, including myself, who have concerns about a minister running the government.
Please decide, Sir, which is your higher calling ... decide, then follow it.

I must be trapped in a Jimmy Dean Sausage Commercial, ca. 1959. Maybe I'm living in Mayberry, RFD, with Aunt Bea.
Huckabee? Who the Hell next? Tennessee Ernie Ford? Flatt and Scruggs? Who the hell is this canard's campaign manager .... PT Barnum? Please excuse me now. I must retire to a dark room in my double-wide and draw the Prayer Cloth I bought mail order from WWVA in 1954 over my face, so that I can rest*.
* PS I also bought the Red Top Baby Chicks and made a fortune raising chinchillas from the same source in my basement. Dang! I guess I jes' a natcheral Huckabee voter!

"All you have to do is visit Democrat Underground and you get the idea of why the media is hyping Huckabee as the front runner in Iowa. The media has selected Huckabee as the easiest target in a national campaign to ridicule and demean. They can use Huckabee, not only to attack personally, but to attack social conservatives and label the whole Republican party as a bunch of out of touch with reality bumpkins. Then you add Huckabees pro-amnesty stance and his fiscal irresponsibility and he has nothing to to fight back on. He would be neutralized within one month of winning the nomination. DU has bragged that they could put up any one and beat Huckabee." - Eva Nail hits head. Needs to be said.
