What do you mean not planned? This thing is real and has been a big issue in Texas politics for a couple of years now.

For 18 years I traveled around building cellular telephone systems. In one Cellular One system I built in eastern Kentucky, I put a dozen or so cell sites literally out in the middle of nowhere. No towns, no roads, only a few very rural residents, most of whom didn't have land line phones or indoor plumbing, much less a need for cellular service. After putting in a few of these sites I asked the owner of the license why they were putting all this money, millions of dollars, into these sites where there were no potential subscribers (POPS). The answer was that a new interstate highway was being planned to pass through that area, roughly along the route of US23. That was 16 years ago and nary a blade of dirt has been turned for that new road. I guess sometimes these things can stay in the planning stages for decades.....

There has never been a fence before right? So what is the problem now. JOBS! Wage differential. Massive wage differential between Mexico and the US.

We are suffering from our own prosperity. Guess what the solution is to suffering from prosperity? Well the greedy free-traders want to knock us down to 2nd world status so we won’t have that problem anymore.

I have long believed that the plans of the elite,effete and "wannabe neat" folks were to be in effect or be implemented in the year 2000. The election of Reagan pushed back the opening date eight years. So here we are almost eight years after and they are revving up again,one of the purposes being to destroy the middle class in America.

It's pretty hard to make serfs out of a healthy middle class but if you think about it what better way than to overrun and inextricably meld them with very poor,very uneducated,very needy strangers who can't even speak the language. And what a boon that great big highway will be.

The opportunity to effect some huge money transfers is breath taking. This highway is scary stuff and to those who are pooh-poohing it,I have sadness for some who do not understand,and contempt for others,who not only do understand but have planned it and will benefit from it.

I would suppose the less monied land owners will have their property taken by eminent domain while the corporations and very wealthy landowners will be paid handsomely for their property and probably get some benefits regards development along the highway. Americans really need to wake up.

You might take a look at those maps someone put up a while back,you just might find that area in Kentucky where the cell satellites were installed.
