Security forces recently seized six-and-a-half tons of nitrous potassium in a truck headed towards Israel from the Gaza Strip.
The potassium was hidden in bags of sugar and was probably intended to make explosives.

Explosives found in garage of Suffolk home (Virginia)

On December 29, 2007, a search warrant for explosives was executed at 6508 Ferry Point Road by members of the Suffolk Police and Fire Marshals. Just after noon the owner of the property, Elbert Tillman Jr., arrived at the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
After a search of the residence, barn and outbuildings, numerous illegal items were seized including more than 200 different types of illegal explosives, a large quantity of possible illegal steroids, syringes, 18 assorted rifles, numerous handguns, two computers and about 28 military boxes of ammunition.
Preliminary charges against Tillman, a former Navy SEAL, include four felony counts of manufacturing and possessing explosive materials and associated misdemeanor counts for possessing explosives. Additional charges are expected once all explosive devices are inventoried.
