Throw Hillary under the Bus? Are you kidding? 1) It would break the bus. 2) It would break the NY Times.
I get your point but the idea of anyone named Hussein being Pres of the US just gives me major frissons. Even Hillary, knowing how much she could change this country in four years, doesn’t give me the same feeling.
I cannot believe we are even thinking about this. Either of them is just soo wrong for this country. I think I would prefer AlGore, the Asberger’s child in waiting.
so editors are able to make the choice for a large percentage of voters
Interesting post. We seem to be just muddling along in the same direction, dems and pubs. Maybe that is the way things are going to go until another Reagan comes along.
but how can a neo-socialist be the next bill clinton?
It does make a difference who the democandidate is. That candidate might win the election. The worst possible thing for the Republic from the Democrats is another Clintons presidency. The Clinton Organization will be much largerm more efficient and more professional than it was the last time. And it won’t be a bit more polite in destroying enemies. Can you imagine the IRS doubling or tripling its staff to take care of the audits on every prominent conservative and Christian in the country? Can you imagine Waco twice a year?
My experience EXACTLY.
I had mentioned in a post recently an experience I had in the US post office recently where some self-admitted Democrat women said they agreed with my anti-Hillary t-shirt (which I wear all the time)
Even the pro-union female postal clerk behind the counter chimed in to the conversation and said how she couldn't stand Hillary.
As you said in your post, this Democrat fling with Hillary is more a function of the libs trying to RE-LIVE their 'Bill-is-a-political-God' glory years of the 1990s, when they easily crushed Bob Dole and outmaneuvered the Repubs on almost every turn.
Not to mention the fact that the fantasy dot.com economy turned everyone on Wall Street into 'paper' millionaires, only to have it collapse before the Slickster even left office.
Dems simply are yearning for those years when their leader could screw a barely legal intern on national TV, lie straight faced to his wife and the nation, and scoff at the Republicans all the way to the bank.
Hillary, on the other hand, is a cold fish -- and the libs KNOW it.
I am of the FIRM belief that Hillary will eventually negotiate with the Lib powers-that-be .... and pick Obama as her VP candidate.
Hillary is repulsive to many level-headed Democrats just as she is reprehensible to most Republicans (although the Dems won't always admit it) --
Thus the libs need to formulate a new combination, now that they are seeing Hillary for the complete inept smarmy political whore that she is.
Nor could I, but there’s no chance Obama would win the office.
He’d make a swell opponent in the general, though! It would make up for losing Howard Dean in 2004.
Yes, why the picture of Catherine? A shout-out for us mixed race woman, please put a picture up of Maggie Quigley - she was in Mission Impossible III./Just Asking - seoul62.......
May I please drive the bus?
If I had made the benchmark 1964 rather than 1980, I would have looked better. I guessed and was wrong, but the point still stands--a significant, at least a third and maybe 40%, will have limited or no experience with events up to 1980. At best they would have been 16 in 1980 and then this figure trails off to zero for those 28 years old (at the time of the 2008) election.
We have a vastly different electorate now and anyone who assumes we can re-fight past battles is going to be disappointed.
You were right! Thanks for the post. I got my figures: HERE.

All 100% true, they had it planned while they were in the WH before....it’s why they picked NY for her to run in...and ..unfortunately..it just might work.
Never happen. I actually agree with the loathsome Bill Maher on this-he laughed when someone said it and replied: “Are you nuts? that will never happen-a woman AND a black on the same ticket-it would be too much, too soon.” I agree with him 100%.
I say she’ll pick Richardson or Wes Clark. Probably “Lou Costello” Richardson, who’s only running for VP (and is the Klinton lapdog)anyway.
Why hasn’t AlGore written a book about his WH years? I am sure he could get a pretty good advance and it would/could be interesting if he was honest.
And, why is Joe Ward, the guy in the commercial abut how great the beast is in helping his son get treated, completely missing from Google, etc. There is no way to confirm his story. Me thinks it is bravo sierra.
Why do I get a picture of Hillary being run over by The SHORT BUS, which is full of DEM PRES. CANDIDATES?
“You b*st*rds, you’ve killed Kenny!”
Wouldn’t have anything to do with Al Gore being on the Board of Google, would it?
“the rules” - don’t you know the rules, newbie?
Oh, wait, you’ve been here longer than me..... so the question remains, how have you missed “the rules” all this time? :^)
Pics of CZJ serve as garlic, crosses, wooden stakes in fighting off the leftist vampire known as Maureen Dowd. Also fun to mock MD since that arrogant twit deserves to be mocked.
I have often wondered if that was his reward for keeping his mouth shut.
