Savage fights back, sues CAIR
Jihadwatch.com ^ | 11/30/07 | Robert Spencer, Michael Savage

Posted on 11/30/2007 5:48:57 PM PST by P. James Moriarty

The full legal filing is here: http://www.savage-productions.com/Savage_CAIR_suit.html

The truth-challenged unindicted co-conspirators of the Council on American Islamic Relations have been targeting radio host Michael Savage, as they have targeted so many others before him. They've been pressuring advertisers to stop advertising on his show, and they've been succeeding. Background here.

But Savage, unlike Fox, unlike National Review, unlike so many others, is unwilling to play the dhimmi and kowtow to these lying Islamic supremacist thugs in their continued assaults on the freedom of speech. It's about time that somebody with the resources to do so has fought back.

The text of Savage's suit can be found here. A few highlights:

The conduct of CAIR (in addition to raising money) in violating the copyright interests of Michael Savage was to gain media attention and control so that CAIR would be seen as the “moderate” voice in the media. In fact CAIR is a radical voice that deliberately attempts to be seen as centrist so that media time goes to CAIR and once on the air, CAIR directs its rhetoric to the benefit of its extremist clients. This is a deliberate tactic and the theft of the copyright material was part of a pattern and practice advancing this tactic.

30.

As set forth herein, CAIR is not a civil rights organization but is instead a political organization designed to advance a political agenda that is directly opposed to the existence of a free society that includes respect and dignity for all people and all religions.

The copyright infringement herein is part of this plan. CAIR’s fundamental purpose is to be a lobbyist for foreign interests.

Why did he tip his hand and let them know in advance what he was doing? Don't know why now, but he had to file sometime. I'm not a lawyer by any stretch, but it may have something to do with the Hamas funding case. Now that some evidence has been taken in in that case and accepted by the court as fact, it will give his case added leverage. I have never listened to Savage in my life and I take no position on his views what so ever. But at the same time it is good news to me that CAIR might be put on the defensive in a case where they aren't the ones bringing the suit and can't simply back out just when their secrets (funding and such) might be made public. Who knows, the blow might just be fatal. I can only hope.

I have been to Savage’s site and have already donated.

GO MICHAEL!

By the way, where is talk radio in all of this? If cair gets the best of Michael Savage, the rest of conservative talk show had better watch their backs. They will be next!

Of course, far left loves it, I am sure!

CHECKERS........And your point in your #39 posting?

I would rather hear Michael Savage ranting about what he perceives are injustices than to allow cair to silence him. Much of what he says is food for thought and encourages in depth investigation. He at least is a loyal American who has the right to his ideas.
Has cair come out and said what an appropriate punishment is for the elderly lady school teacher in the Sudan after she allowed her moslem students to name the teddy bear?

cair is evil to the core and I pray for their financial ruin.

After rambling along here, I finally got your #39 posting point. You as well as cair like to further your cause by taking statements out of context!

BRILLIANT!!!

Gaijin, you put all the other Savage critics to SHAME.

I agree with your post about Shumer as well: Mike should have known better.

"Gaijin, you put all the other Savage critics to SHAME."

I'm just pleased you see the light, regardless of who drove you there.
