The full legal filing is here: http://www.savage-productions.com/Savage_CAIR_suit.html
The truth-challenged unindicted co-conspirators of the Council on American Islamic Relations have been targeting radio host Michael Savage, as they have targeted so many others before him. They've been pressuring advertisers to stop advertising on his show, and they've been succeeding. Background here.
But Savage, unlike Fox, unlike National Review, unlike so many others, is unwilling to play the dhimmi and kowtow to these lying Islamic supremacist thugs in their continued assaults on the freedom of speech. It's about time that somebody with the resources to do so has fought back.
The text of Savage's suit can be found here. A few highlights:
The conduct of CAIR (in addition to raising money) in violating the copyright interests of Michael Savage was to gain media attention and control so that CAIR would be seen as the moderate voice in the media. In fact CAIR is a radical voice that deliberately attempts to be seen as centrist so that media time goes to CAIR and once on the air, CAIR directs its rhetoric to the benefit of its extremist clients. This is a deliberate tactic and the theft of the copyright material was part of a pattern and practice advancing this tactic.
30.
As set forth herein, CAIR is not a civil rights organization but is instead a political organization designed to advance a political agenda that is directly opposed to the existence of a free society that includes respect and dignity for all people and all religions.
The copyright infringement herein is part of this plan. CAIRs fundamental purpose is to be a lobbyist for foreign interests.

Just like many liberals hate Rush (and talk radio) because he speaks the truth, Rush, Sean, and O'Reilly hate Savage because he speaks the truth about them. I smile to myself when he criticizes his competition. He does it a little too much, but, like it or not, he provides a penetrating assessment. It is too bad that none of them can be like a true "Statesman" and support Mike Savage because the threat to all of them (and us) is real.
In addition to drooling all over Chuckie Schmuckie Schumer early last year. All reasons why I stopped listening to him.
Go Savage!!
Hooray Michael Savage! Hooray Robert Spencer!
Thanks for posting, PJM.
I like his “emotional immaturity”.
Uhm, so what?
Good for him!
Wiener is food for fools.
I always thought that Weiener was a steaming POS, but when CAIR attacked him, my natural instincts were to defend him, which I'm still inclined to do because 1) Weiner is an American, and 2) CAIR are dupes for Al Qaeda
I tuned into Weiner's show, with my credit card in hand to donate to his defense, only to hear him slam Rush and others. I was both stunned and not so surprised considering his idiotic habits.
On the next day he said this...
Note to Checkers: Please add this quote to "the list" please.
Weiner is his own worse enemy.
True, Michael doesn’t play well with others - I don’t know the reason for this - but he hits the truth often enough, with enough backbone and in a way to be indispensable. Savage has given air time and money to our border agents, and singlehandedly saved many from real despair during the 2000 election. He was like a pitbull - NEVER letting go of the left. When he gets whiney about other hosts I change the station, it offends me too, but I intend to suppot him 100% on this issue. CAIR is a radical Muslim hategroup, an ENEMY of the people of the United States. Even with his faults, there is no host to replace Savage. Thank God for men like him. I don’t care if he “gets along.” Since when did that become a measure of greatness?
Mike has learned his lessons very well, and he fights well. Some lessons:
1. Fight dirty
2. Make the fight reallllly personal. You might be tempted to use logic, but don't get carried away: if a man is ugly or bald, use that --salt the dagger and push it in deep. Remind the enemy YOU stabbed him, that you ENJOYED stabbing him! If the enemy is a woman, insult her body, especially if she's fat. Note that ankles and thighs yield bonus points.
3. Try to make the enemy lose his/her mind. Make use of sophisticated arguments to burnish your credentials, but mostly picture your audience as taxi drivers, truckers, and cops. Keep the attack loud, fast, funny, and above all, PERSONAL. Tears and rage are the goal.
4. Switch your arguments --sometimes you must aggressively court the allies of the chief enemy.
5. Claim that AT HEART you're a liberal.
6. Say sentimental crap about birds, indians, nature, the sea, and the like. Really let it flow. Get maudlin and wax poetic.
Horowitz is cerebral, but Mike is more effective. Once again, the foot-soldier recruit is the taxi driver, not an accountant, not a personal trainer. Keep the attack funny, simple, personal and RELENTLESS.
I kept waiting for Savage to shift and viciously stab Schumer in the back, alas the attack never came.
I was left with....confusion, malaise, and then much later, intense rage.
I didn't listen again for YEARS.
> I like his emotional immaturity.
Unfortunately, Savage’s “emotional immaturity” only serves to marginalize him and his arguments, some of which (when he is rational) would otherwise be persuasive.
Think about it. All his adversaries need to do is to quote a few of his more asinine statements, and people who are not familiar with him will immediately assume that anyone who pays any attention to him is a childish moron.
So while he is great at “preaching to the choir,” he is also a great tool for leftists to discredit conservatism.
Good luck to him, but what a horribly written pleading! Most of it is not fact-based as required, but conclusory.
I just donated $25.00 to his legal defense fund.
You can get the information at michaelsavage.com
I bet his passion and raw anger attract more people than you are giving credit. Some people agree with him but don’t like traditional talk radio because of the country club Republicanism and euphemisms. He’s a nice flashback to a time when men were willing to fight for something.
Michael Savage; the voice of freedom. Where do I send donations to his cause of “Freedom of Speech”?
“I bet his passion and raw anger attract more people than you are giving credit.”
I know all about that. His passion is what initially attracted me to him. But after a while I got tired of cringing at his pathetic rudeness. And I got tired of his habit of personally insulting callers rather than engaging them rationally. It make his position look very weak.
When he started calling Rush childish names, I realized that this guy is the type who would frag his commanding officer if he thought it would help him get the job himself.
As I said, Savage could have been great had he learned not to cross the line from passion to idiocy.
Why did he tip his hand and let them know in advance what he was doing?
You obviously are someone from the other side, gathering information on him to use against him.
You're an emo man, just like Savage. No wonder you don't like him. He's a reflection of yourself.
