I’ve been predicting that the anti-war types will become violent during this election cycle, and especially at the Dem convention. I guess the derangement is a bit wider than that.

If a Republican wins next year there will probably be mass suicides.

Signal flares aren’t dangerous. The threat seems dangerous and must be taken seriously but there is no actual danger involved.

It is like when Saddam made the effort to obtain prohibited WMD and would not let inspectors verify if he had or did not have them and played shell games. The threat is genuine even if there is no danger.

Same with a joke about a bomb at an airport.

But the DNC brownshirts got very violent in the 2004 election cycle. It was the single most under reported story of the election. Bricks through GOP offices, campaign signs painted with swastikas, homes painted with swastikas, cars vandalized, 2 dozen GOP get out the vote vans’ tires slashed outside of a campaign office on election day, assaults, threats of assault, etc.

It is going to get even worse because they weren’t called on it publicly last time.
