“There is a lot more loyalty to the Confederate flag in the South, than there is to the Republican party.”

My loyalty lies with the Constitution and the values of the enlightenment. It doesn’t require a country or land...it just requires those whom desire freedom and law.

My underling thoughts are it’s a local issue, not a federal; which is the whole point of the dispute over the flag anyways. Whether it means something to someone here and mean another to another person over there...I don’t care.

To: Rick_Michael; All
may i humbly suggest that you check out posts 72,77,94 & 117, as i'm too lazy to repost them.

as i've said before (here & in other threads): IF the GOP wants to win the POTUS race, they will embrace the IDEAL that the "!@#$%^ government" needs to GET OUT OF every local/regional issue & FIRMLY state that, "it's none of our business what ___________ wants to do. it's called LIBERTY & DIVERSITY of interest."

We care.

For us, it is a matter of family, and kinship.

More South Carolinians died under the Saint Andrews Cross of the Confederate Battle Flag, than have died under the Stars and Stripes, in all the wars that nation has fought, combined.

We take this issue, kind of personally. We don't like yankee republocrats, or democrains, telling us how to vote.

Frankly, we don't want to be a part of the same nation that you want. We want you to have your Socialism, your gun-control, your taxes, and your universal health care.

We want out.

We see Ron Paul as the last hope for a Constitutional America, and if he doesn't win, we just want to leave, with our land, our graveyards, our resources, and our children. Find your own military, if you can.

It does for us, Bubbba, it does for us.

I am still hunting deer and quail on the same land that my great-grandfather owned. Southerners still are tied to "the land", and we are probably a lot more "environmentally aware" than your Commie-pinko friends.

Get the government out of my life.

Vote Ron Paul

What is a moderate, conservative, libertarian?

Most of us are trying to make up our minds as to when we need to start shooting the b@stards, (sorry, that really sounds radical, but Glen Beck says that it is the most asked question on his show).

We are at a crossroads. Will we continue to be a "nation of cowards"? Francis Scott Key, the author of the "Star Spangled Banner", ended that anthem with a question. "Oh say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave, over the land of the free, and the home of the brave?"

His son spent four years as a guest of the Lincoln administration at Ft. McHenry as a political prisoner in Ft. McHenry. (His son was a Confederate sympathizer).

Could the answer be, "no"?

Is it possible that we have betrayed liberty for security?

I retired from the US Marine Corps. I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic". The real question is, "Who are the real enemies of the Consititution?"

I read the Constitution, often. I carry a copy in my pocket, every time I go to Court. (I am a lawyer). I still take that oath seriously. On a very personal level, I am still trying to fulfill that oath.

Our government, our Courts, and our President consider the Constitution as a "d@mned piece of paper". The Washington 2nd Amendment Case is going before the US Supreme Court, and I am betting that they rule against the Constitution. Are we going to remain, a "Nation of Cowards", subjects, rather than citizens? Or, will we rise, and take our country back?

I have lived in the North, and the "left coast", and frankly, I don't think that you live in the real America. It only exists in Dixie.

In Dixie, there are a bunch of "good ol' boys, Scots-Irish hotheads, that refuse to bow their heads to anybody. Call us Rednecks, Christian fundamentalists, Crackers, but we are the backbone of America.

If we have our own country, what will you do for a military?
