Living in the People’s Republic of California, I don’t think it matters if I vote for the ‘pubblie or not. This degraded state’s electoral votes are gonna go to the ‘crat no matter what I do on election day.

Didn't Kalifornia recently pass a measure to give all of it's electoral votes to whomever wins the national popular vote?
This is incentive for everyone, no matter what state they live in to vote against Hillery. It could force Kalifornia vote to go to the Republican! How embarrassing would that be?

It was the Florida mess and Gore's attempt to hijack the election by-any-means-necessary that was all fueled by the argument, "Gore won the popular vote, he has a moral obligation to fight on" Electoral College be damned. This was a sentiment that was conveniently forgotten when Kerry came fairly close EC-wise but lost decisively popular vote-wise.
Bottomline: Every vote counts - maybe not as much as one would want but the feeling is mutual for any voter that resides in a state that goes the opposite way or, like yourself, is pretty much guaranteed to go the "wrong" way.

Mebbe, but your vote still helps in the popular vote column-—and you know how the Rats use that against the process when they don’t like the results of the Constitutionally ordained Electoral College.

Living in Washington State I feel the same way sometimes. But one can only hope - some day...... (I also grew up a Minnesota Vikings fan so maybe that explains why I still hope for the impossible!)

What's going on with the petition drive to get it on the Primary ballot that California's Electoral Votes will be divided up according to who wins each Congressional District? Is that still a remote possibility?

I will vote for, Bono, Batton and write in Hunter if they allow write ins this election. Crappy Voting machines may be outlawed, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the system we had, good paper trail, was a liability to some i guess.
