so because of a few bad apples on the police force, we should get rid of a non-lethal weapon that could possibly save the lives of hundreds of people?

this is not aimed at anyone directly on this thread, but there are a great many people in the world who like to paint LEO's with a very broad, negative brush. I've known may people personally who feel this way and in each and every case it is either because the person who hates the LEO's is very insecure/jealous of the position of power held by the LEO's or has been involved in a negative situation with LEO's that could have been avoided if the person in question had not been acting like a total ass-hat.

Hundreds?
THat doesn’t seem like a very worthwhile endeavor. If we got rid of cars just think how many people we could save...way more than hundreds. If we confiscated everyone’s kids and raised them in government run child centers, we could ensure that all would have equal access to resources while growing up and no one would develop hatred towards others. Crime would end and so would wars.
Then we could get rid of cops.
