Interesting to see. The Daily Kos crowd like to say how they speak for “the American people” etc. and that their views reflect the mainstream. Then why is their market share so small?????????

Opps. In going around the family table during turkey dinner we all said what we were thankful for. Family and God came in the highest among my kids, followed by friends, pets and mash potatoes! I added our good health and living in America.
However - I omitted the chance to give THANKS to Free Republic - so thank you to Jim and all the others who work so hard.

We have been a force to be reckoned with, and I feel we will have a role to play in the 2008 election, the most important election in our lifetimes.
FreeRepublic is a great forum for the sharing of ideas, and shrapening one’s intellect by being exposed to so many good minds and ex[erienced people. Post any subject, and resident experts appear like magic to guide and to inform.
I have fond memories of the 1998 March for Justice, the Saturday morning freeps at the White House in 1999-2000, the work of Florida freepers at the 2000 vote counting that was going to be behind closed doors until they got involved; the freeps at Dick Cheney’s house(!), the work with the Swiftboat Vets, the work Buckhead did in exposing Mary Mapes and Dan Rather and the fake National Guard letters in 2004, the work of doug from upland on chronicling the malevolent deeds of the Clintons,the weekly freeps supporting the troops at Walter Reed Hospital every Friday night.
We don’t a lot of press,but we do make any effect on the political landscape.
And there is more ahead for us to do.
