Okay well I just got done watching the video.

I'm in the military posted someplace that's still warm and very very sandy. In my profession we are trained in what's called Escalation of Force Drills(EOF).

EOF states that we use our judgment to reasonably assess threats as we perceive them and apply only the force necessary to reasonably deal with the threat.

Where exactly was the threat?

I don't think firing is sufficient for this officer. I'd like him breaking big rocks into little rocks someplace unpleasant.
