“There is no penalty to not sign”

Incorrect.

“He escalated things so he could taze someone who wasn’t giving him enough ‘respect’.”

Had the driver turned around and placed his hands behind his back, after being told he was going to jail, for speeding and refusing to cooperate, the officer would not have pulled the taser out.

By stating that the officer escalated things just so he could taze someone, you now are trying to play “MIND READER”, as you and others accused me of.

So, small dogs need to get off the porch.

There is no penalty not to sign in the state of Utah. The officer has the discretion to put “refused to sign” and send him on his way, OR arrest him if he sees fit. The officer did neither. He is in trouble, rightfully so.

“Incorrect.”

He’s correct in most states. Utah allows the LEO to arrest or note “refused to sign”.

“Had the driver turned around and placed his hands behind his back, after being told he was going to jail, for speeding and refusing to cooperate, the officer would not have pulled the taser out.”

He already had the tazer out.

“you now are trying to play “MIND READER”, as you and others accused me of.”

Aren’t you the guy claiming the driver was headed for his shotgun?

“So, small dogs need to get off the porch.”

SO once again you get insulting.

I don’t get the quaint references to canines.

But there is no need for the Revenuer to ask him to get out of his car, leave his family on the side of the road, for a traffic violation, unless he was unhappy that he was not being ‘respected’. Then he goes very quickly for the taser, without being in any danger or having tried to restrain the Citizen at all.

And if the Revenuer felt at risk b/c the citizen had his hand in his pocket, he needed to shoot him w/ a gun, not taze him. Watch and draw your own conclusions; mine is that this fellow didn’t treat the fuzz as he felt he should be, and decided to teach him a lesson. Over a stupid ticket.

Now, this fellow will walk out w/ mucho bucks, and the Revenuer will lose his pension. Know what? Ordering the wife back in the car after the Revenuer escalated the situation ALONE merits jail time for abuse of his position.

Are you a Revenuer who equates ‘respect’ w/ grovelling? B/c that’s what you appear to be.
