This is the most terrible thread I’ve ever read on FR. There is enough blame to go around for everyone. But to soley pin it on anyone is wrong. For you to imply that this girl would have committed suicide anyway it not only wrong its stupid. You have no idea whether she would have or not and two people you know doesn’t supply much in the way of evidence. The article does not imply that the internet caused her suicide and no one on this thread is blaming the internet either. Yes the girl was mentally ill but “Josh’s” behavior was a contributing factor in her suicide too. There is no doubt about that. There is just no law to prosecute them with

Thanks I think I agree with you. It is one of the most terrible threads I’ve read too. I spent so much time reading up on this story all over the internet & still feel just great sadness for this girl. People aren’t perfect nor ever will be. There is lots of blame to be shared. Parents can’t be everywhere every second watching their children either. I can’t believe the dead girl’s parents are blamed for her mental problems & the silly comments they were getting a divorce anyway etc. Nobody knows that for certain & many times after a child dies people do divorce. Theres not to much left to say except... Prayers for Megan & may she rest in peace.

Had I known that this thread was heading in the direction it took, I would not have posted. It never dawned on me to read it in its entirety first.
