Perry was never Paul's "point man." He was someone, an individual, doing his own thing and decided to be a crook. More guilt-by-association BS that has no bearing on Paul's campaign.
So the author chooses to casually dismiss Paul's solid argument on why the dollar's in a tailspin (OPEC has announced to dump the dollar, BTW) and simultaneously scour a crowd of 5,000 to find a few white supremacists. Did the author find the veterans in attendance and the black woman dressed up as the Statue of Liberty? Of course not, it would have defeated the purpose of writing the article to begin with. The author's journalistic skills are on par with Helen Thomas.
No evidence of this whatsoever (of people using the Liberty Dollars as currency), just another hyperbolic accusation mashed in among an article full of hyperbolic accusations. Phase 3 of the Ghandi rule has begun...
Uh chump, that's because he didn't.
Ridiculous non-sequitur. Anyway, Paul doesn't endorse the Truthers or believe that 9/11 was an inside job. But I know the author had a deadline to meet his skater buddies at Taco Bell for lunch and had to throw in the obligatory Jones reference to make his article more appealing.
More hyperbolic rhetoric. First of all, there is no "libertarian" movement, it is a movement of freedom and liberty that everyone from all backgrounds and political stripes are embracing. Second of all, leftists have no incentive to support Paul, especially finding out the hard way that he doesn't support socialism, envirowackoism, & military intervention in pet liberal causes around the globe. Finally, the notion that the Dems and media would waste their time on Paul is laughable. Someone explain to me: Why would leftists support Paul when he is the polar opposite of their beliefs, including the war and foreign policy?
Apparently, the author didn't get the memo. Jesse Benton has already stated that white supremacists were wasting their money on Dr. Paul. Paul is up to 100,000 donors now, what is he going to do? Purge through them all for those with racist views for the benefit of those who'll still loathe him anyway? Perhaps the author & FReeper SJackson (that's YOU) should ask why Haley Barbour sat with the Council of Conservative Citizens or why John Ashcroft spoke with the white supremacist magazine Southern Partisan. Both served in some capacity of the GOP/Bush administration. (Cue sounds of crickets chirping & Disney cartoon animals laughing in background)
Uh, buddy...that's because they don't represent Paul's support as a whole. Maybe the author should go to one of Paul's rallies and see how many nutjobs are in the audience. I guess that ordinary families and people are all kooks & Code Pinkers just because they're not supporting the candidate of the establishment's choice. Nice. The only people who are making a big stink out of this is you guys who want to trash Dr. Paul's good name and smear him as a racist because you can't refute his record, his integrity, and his reputation.
I'd never thought I'd see the day when "conservatives" resort to the same totalitarian tactics that the Left has used for years.
